first album good but particular, not charismatic enough, no single songs I really like, second album kind of great, maybe S- album?, it’s tighter and more fun but still artsy and neat
RELISTEN1: I don’t know that this relisten actually brought me all that much clarity. I’d wanted the relisten because I knew I really liked them but sometimes it’s hard to hold onto them in my brain. They’re kinda floaty, they don’t really stick, if that makes sense. When I listen to them I go “oh yeah this is great”, but if you told me the name of a song I could not tell you how it goes, even if I really like it, even if I could sing along while it was playing. That’s pretty unusual for me. So I wanted to listen to them and see if listening all at once, getting that holistic experience again, would solidify anything. It totally did not. My impression after this relisten is almost exactly the same as it was before. I really like them, I think they sound great, I love tons of their songs, and it’s still super hard to get them to stick in my brain in any meaningful way. It’s very strange. But, the relisten was still useful in that it reaffirmed that I do like them a lot, I’m more than happy to keep them exactly where they’re at
