vibin, I dig it. Earlier stuff and EPs reminds me a lot of Lorde (for good and ill), album is fantastic
EDIT1: after more exposure and release of second album, I’m not as enthralled. Still really good, still like it, but not as much. Songs can get boring, second album had no real standouts and didn’t super impress me. Moving to a high A-
RELISTEN1: yeah I dunno, it doesn’t grab me like it did when it was new to me, like it did when I wanted it to. Gets too repetitive, loses me. Construction of the lyrics I really consistently enjoy, but themes and content is often too intense and distracting, not really into that. I actually really like the first album as an album, that’s great. Individual songs largely don’t catch me the way they did at first, but as an album Collapsed in Sunbeams is very good. My Soft Machine I’m not convinced about. It’s frustrating because I can’t for the life of me pin down the difference, but for whatever reason it just feels lackluster to me. Songs individually I care less about, and the album as a whole I care less about, it’s just so so meh to me. All around I think this is an incredibly appropriate C+
