I don’t dislike it, it’s just very specific and I don’t think it hits all the beats it means to, or the beats it’s trying to hit aren’t particularly interesting to me. Also, I love love love Renegade, but I call that a Taylor Swift song (and so does brm in interviews)
RELISTEN1: definitely a vibe. I like it, I think, I’m a fan of the vibe. Individual songs I think sometimes aren’t as strong as they could be, they get a little too long or too artsy or too something and they lose some of the energy that makes them cool. But the ones that land I do think have a distinct energy that I dig. So I think my revision to my initial rating would be that the beats it’s trying to hit are particularly interesting to me, but they don’t always hit them. I think this is a pretty solid B+
