Chance the Rapper in tier list
I’m not all that certain about this one, actually. I think this spot is appropriate, at least for now, but I’m not sure it’ll stay that way. There’s a bunch of stuff I like about it, I do like the general vibe, I want to like him. Just like, as a guy, y’know? But on the whole, I just don’t think I like the music enough. It doesn’t hold my attention, there isn’t enough there for me. There are some songs that are just fun, that are entertaining, but not enough to warrant higher than the B- I’m giving, and even those ones aren’t my favorite. So yeah, the vibe is good, his personality is good, but not enough to hold through the sameyness. Or like, Glover had some of the same considerations (not quite the same, but adjacent), but I really like him and some of his lyrics in particular, and that just didn’t happen the same way here
