she had one EP that I thought was pretty legit. If everything were like that, I think I would’ve liked her a lot. As it stands, she had a lot of stuff that was just… I don’t want to say that songs about sex, or even songs that feel sexual, are bad, because I don’t think that’s true. I’ve come a long way in that regard; I think I associate most of that shift in my perspective to TLC, but the other hip hop I’ve listened to has definitely helped too. Because its certainly true that you can say important things, critically important things, through sex and sexual language. There’s stuff that needs to be said that can’t be said in any other way. I can get behind that. But, I also think there’s still plenty of music that’s about sex in an absolutely braindead way, in a way that’s crass and vulgar out of habit more than anything else– I think Doechii does do that, and I’m really not a huge fan of it. She also had a bunch of stuff that wasn’t frustrating, that didn’t feel “braindead”, but that I just didn’t vibe with. So all around despite me rather liking Oh the Places You’ll Go, I’m gonna say she’s not my favorite, not feeling it, I’m thinking a high C-
