I believe this is an appropriate time to take up the parlance of the youths and say, “this shit is straight fire”. Because this shit is, in fact, straight fire. I’m about to go on a math rock tear. Or prog rock or whatever you call it, labels are for fools. I was really hoping I would be into this, I had a strong suspicion, and it feels so good to be right about it, mostly because I’m now feeling pretty confident that I’ve got a ton of good stuff to look forward to. This is interesting, it’s thoughtful, the musicianship is great and the work is designed to take advantage of musicianship. I am engaged, I am having a good time.
