Red Hearse in tier list Solid. It’s hard to have much of an opinion with there being only one album. I like it a lot, it was good Jack Antinoff stuff, but I’m just not attached to it, at least not yet. I like it for sure though, good stuff. A-

204: Yoke Lore (A-)
Yoke Lore in tier list I like it, it’s a vibe. It kinda reminds me of Austin Archer, the way the vocals are mixed mostly. I could definitely see it growing on me. There were 35+ songs across singles and eps, plus another 14 in the album. It all feels about the same. Not inContinue reading “204: Yoke Lore (A-)”
New FAQ page
Pretty much what’s on the tin. A new page with FAQs. I’ll be updating it more at need, but I think I’ve got some good essential info in there to start off for now.
203: Young the Giant (A)
Young the Giant in tier list I like it for sure. I don’t know that I love it, but I have no specific complaints and it’s generally enjoyable, I could see it growing on me. Honestly, even the difference between first and second listen was pretty huge, pretty consistently across every album. I dunno ifContinue reading “203: Young the Giant (A)”
202: Dirty Pretty Things (B+)
Dirty Pretty Things in tier list Dirty Pretty Things is solid, a lot more so than I’d remembered. Relistening to Waterloo to Anywhere, it’s great. I originally said “it’s solid”, and like, yeah. That’s true, and that’s about it. Although, I think my first time through, when I ranked it as part of Carl Barat,Continue reading “202: Dirty Pretty Things (B+)”
201: Cold Chisel (D)
Cold Chisel in tier list its alright, kinda mid. I’d probably give a lowish B off of my first impression. Fine enough, solid, pretty chunky rock. Nothing that’s hard on the ears, but nothing about it stands out or makes me care, or makes me really want to care. The next album is like that,Continue reading “201: Cold Chisel (D)”
200: Bobbing (S-→A+)
Bobbing in tier list I’m a little bummed that most of the earliest stuff is instrumental. I think it’s a jam, it’s super fun, but without vocals I feel like it’s missing something. That’s a me thing, but there it is. And I know it’s a me thing, I’ve always been this way- instrumental stuffContinue reading “200: Bobbing (S-→A+)”
RELISTEN1: The Libertines (up)
The Libertines I originally ranked The Libertines as part of a single Carl Barât entry. Upon review, I think that was a mistake. I’m giving the original 59th spot to The Libertines, and retconning them into having always been there. Dirty Pretty Things will get its own new spot as if recently ranked. Carl BarâtContinue reading “RELISTEN1: The Libertines (up)”
199: Run River North (A)
Run River North in tier list there was nothing about the first album that really stuck out to me, but I did like it, I thought it was alright. I dunno. It reminded me of a lot of things, but also of nothing? Like, it felt so strongly reminiscent, but of what I don’t know.Continue reading “199: Run River North (A)”
