The Killers are my favorite band, and they likely will never stop being my favorite band. It’s possible I’ll hate every future song they ever release; it’s possible I find another band that just blows them out of the water; it’s possible they’ll turn out to be actual, literal murderers. There will still be aContinue reading “Band: The Killers (S+)”

63: Sting (A)
Sting in tier list albums 2, 4, and 5 are truly excellent, Ten Summoner’s Tales is so so good, he has so many fantastic individual songs- but he also has a ton of other albums that range from pretty good to alright that bring down the average
62: The Police (B-→C)
The Police in tier list got some classics but mostly just fine and not great RELISTEN1: I feel I had a pretty solid handle on this band before this relisten, on how they sound and how I feel about them. But, I was thinking about them and I realized they’d fit much better as aContinue reading “62: The Police (B-→C)”
61: Bad Suns (A-→B)
Bad Suns in tier list songs a little repetitive/long at times but consistent and good with a bunch of particularly good ones (second album in particular). plus, I like the sound of the guy’s voice RELISTEN1: I don’t care enough about them as artists. Too repetitive and samey within songs, just too meh. A goodContinue reading “61: Bad Suns (A-→B)”
60: MIKA (A→A-→B+)
MIKA in tier list consistent, fun, some really great songs RELISTEN1: I still like him, think he’s good, but he gets a little repetitive, and just all around fits better in A- than A RELISTEN2: still do like him, but yeah he’s consistently just not quite where I want him to be, barring a fewContinue reading “60: MIKA (A→A-→B+)”
59: Jukebox the Ghost (B+→A-)
Jukebox the Ghost in tier list right on the edge, starts solidly B+ but moves toward A-, consistent with a fair amount of songs that are pretty good) (most recent album moves toward B I think, not bad but not the parts of JtG I like) RELISTEN1: this was actually a pretty unexpectedly tough relistenContinue reading “59: Jukebox the Ghost (B+→A-)”
58: Feist (B-→D+)
Feist in tier list good, fine, way mellow for my tastes and not super interesting/outstanding RELISTEN1: this relisten started poorly, one of the songs of hers I liked is a cover and I didn’t realize. I hate that, so so much, I hate it, ugh. The entire second half of that album is covers. ThankfullyContinue reading “58: Feist (B-→D+)”
57: The Strokes (A→A+)
The Strokes in tier list consistently good all around with some excellent songs as well RELISTEN1: just keep growing on me, really really good, good songs good albums good lyrics good vibes
56: The Wombats (A+→B-)
The Wombats in tier list about half the albums I absolutely love, half are great but not in love category yet, most recent album not sure about yet, overall solid really good EDIT: the more I listened to them the less sure I became, it got to the point every time I looked at myContinue reading “56: The Wombats (A+→B-)”
55: Dua Lipa (B+→B)
Dua Lipa in tier list songs consistently on the wrong edge of good enough with a few that are solid RELISTEN1: all around pretty decent. Second album is definitely better than the first, both alright but neither are anything really special. It’s fun. The songs that are popular are popular for good reason, they’re catchyContinue reading “55: Dua Lipa (B+→B)”
