Blossoms in tier list pretty good, don’t like when the instruments and vocals take simultaneous melody, which is often, 3rd album is excellent RELISTEN1: 4th album is pretty good, better than 1 and 2, not as good as 3. that puts it pretty firmly in A- territory I think)

Sam Fender in tier list like him a lot, super consistent with great songs, just all around solid RELISTEN1: just keeps growing on me, songs lyrics albums vibes, I’m a fan

Phoebe Bridgers in tier list this is the kind of thing where as I listen I can tell that it’s definitely somebody’s jam, it’s just very much not mine

Jason Mraz in tier list especially albums 2,4,5

Upstate in tier list pretty much exactly my jam, I love love love this sound EDIT: been thinking about it and if they release another album on par with Healing then that’s an easy S, but until then I think S- is truer EDIT: did a relisten. off the cuff, I like Upstate’s first albumContinue reading “30: Upstate (S→S-→A+)”

Co-Stanza in tier list fine, a couple good songs, don’t like the sound of his voice EDIT: upon my overhaul he just fit better in the D-tier, there’s not enough stuff I like about him for him to be a C-tier

Of Monsters and Men in tier list solid, not always my jam but solid for sure RELISTEN1: eh, not super impressed. They were one of the first bands I listened to, I’ve had a lot of exposure to them by now. I thought there was a good chance I’d hear them differently this go ‘round,Continue reading “28: Of Monsters and Men (B)”

Capital Cities in tier list groovy, consistent, gets very repetitive and stale EDIT: the more I listen the less I like it. Still a couple songs I really enjoy but by and large it just feels samey. Down to a D

Valley in tier list songs feel a little forgettable but they’re all quality, good songs EDIT1: and I don’t super click with the overall theme, it’s a little mopey for me RELISTEN1: I like This Room Is White and MAYBE a lot. A lot a lot, both are great, solid, good albums. Many songs IContinue reading “26: Valley (A-→B+→A-)”

Lake Street Dive in tier list might be higher, want to listen more, definitely some bops, very consistent very good RELISTEN1: definitely grown on me, I expect it’ll probably keep doing so, maybe up to as high as S. Hasn’t yet though, we’ll see RELISTEN2: There’s definitely been a general increase in my like andContinue reading “25: Lake Street Dive (A→A+)”
