276: Dios (A)

Dios in tier list

Super solid. I had to listen to both albums three times– well, more like three and a half– because I kept kinda zoning out. But! When I did finally get my attention on it I liked it a lot, and it was usually just a couple songs that I kept spacing on, most of it I got through fine. Frankly, I didn’t mind the extra listens at all. I wouldn’t have minded a fourth listen, I enjoyed both albums quite a lot. I was just distracted, I suppose. But yeah, I’m a fan. It’s got good hooks and sick guitar parts and good… I dunno, punch? I don’t know how to say that, I don’t know what that’s call. Like, LiSA kept a similar pace and is likely drawing at least partly from similar musical traditions, but rhythmically LiSA feels dead compared to this. Like, the songs here are organized around their rhythm in a way that’s very satisfying. I dunno, who am I to say. Moral of the story, I enjoyed muchly, easy A
