It’s fine. There are a few songs I like. But, even with those songs I can feel that, a little bit, I’m forcing myself to like them. It’s all too mellow for me by half, and there’s nothing else that particularly pulls me to it. The lyrics are fine but they don’t speak to me; his voice is fine but it doesn’t speak to me; the production is fine but it’s nothing special, it’s not very interesting.
Maybe my feelings here will change at some point, but I get the feeling that it won’t. It’s just… fine. I don’t have any distaste for it, and to a degree I do like it, but my overall attitude is one of such indifference that it’s a stretch to say I like the music enough for a B. This is a good match for a D.
