Hello! One of the funny little perks of running a blog that very-close-to-literally-nobody reads is that when I look at the general demographic statistics for who looks at my blog, I know very well that I’m not just looking at numbers, I’m looking at people. If WordPress told me I had a thousand visitors on my site one day, that would be too many people for me to imagine them as individual people. But when WordPress tells me that I have one visitor on my site most days, and tells me that my views over the last couple months have mostly been coming from China, I absolutely find myself imagining this mystery person who, someway somehow, stumbled upon my blog and decided to read it and keep reading it.
If you are not this mystery person who is either in China or consistently using a VPN to place your IP address there, I am not talking to you. Mystery person, I am talking to you! What’s up? How’d you find this site? Do I know you? Do you have any good recommendations for me? In particular, do you happen to have any good Chinese or Taiwanese artists? I haven’t gone out of my way to listen to new artists in Chinese in a couple years, but I’d enjoy getting back into that a little.
Anyway, that’s all. Whoever you are, I think it is fun and exciting that you read the stupid things I write here, and I think it would be fun and exciting if you responded.
