334: Stereosity (A)

Stereosity in tier list

They’ve only got one album, New Life Will Grow, but it slaps. I heard a song or two of theirs that popped up on YouTube. I liked it a lot, and the album definitely holds up. It very much fits the mold of math rock, as I continue to understand it—changing meter, lots of overlapping electric guitar, brass/wind highlights, poetic/lyrical/personal lyrics. Math rock is so much my jam, man, it’s got all the things I like. Stereosity is clearly in that space, and it does everything it’s trying to do quite quite well. I dig it.

Again, the exact place in the tier list matters less and less to me all the time. I try not to think about it too much. It’s fine, it’ll be what it is until I actually gather my courage and start fixing stuff and doing overhaul for stuff. I’ve got time, now, so maybe it’ll even happen! Who’s to say. For now, the low A works well enough.

Stereosity complete, now listening to: Ne-Yo
